Questions, answered
About the catalogue, the app, your photos and who pays for it.
What is Beautylogue?
A personal beauty catalogue. Scan the products you own and see what’s in them, put them in a morning and evening routine, and keep a dated record of your face and of any spot you want to follow.
What’s free?
Scanning a barcode and reading a product’s ingredient assessment are free, with no account. Saving products, and every new face review or spot check, need an account and Beautylogue+.
When can I get it?
Beautylogue comes to iPhone first, then Android. It’s in testing now. Leave your email and we’ll tell you the day it’s on the App Store.
What happens to my photos?
A photo is sent for review and is not backed up to our cloud. Saved photos stay on your phone, and we never sell them or use them for advertising. How privacy works.
Who decides what gets recommended?
The ingredient list, weighed against the skin and goals you tell it about. Beautylogue links to no product, takes no affiliate money and sells no placement, so no brand can pay for a better result.
Is it medical advice?
No. Beautylogue offers guidance, not medical advice or diagnosis. When a review suggests seeing a dermatologist, it says so plainly.
Where does the product data come from?
From Open Beauty Facts, an open database of cosmetics. When a product is missing, you can add it from its label.
Who is it for?
Adults, 18 and over, of any skin type.
