Terms of Use
Last updated 3 October 2026
Draft until Beautylogue’s App Store release.
Who we are, and agreeing
These terms are between you and Blacktop Social LLC, which makes Beautylogue. By creating an account or using Beautylogue you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy . Questions: support@blacktop.social; legal and privacy: legal@blacktop.social.
What Beautylogue is, and is not
Beautylogue is a personal beauty record: it keeps your products and routines, reviews photos you choose to submit, and tracks change over time. Reviews, spot checks and answers are written by AI and are general beauty guidance. They are not medical advice, a diagnosis or a skin-cancer screening, and a spot check cannot tell you whether a spot is harmless. See a doctor or dermatologist about any spot that is new, changing, bleeding, itching or painful, whatever the app says, and before acting on anything that affects your health. In an emergency, call 911.
You must be 18 or older
Beautylogue is for adults. You must be at least 18 to create an account or submit a photo, and you confirm this when you sign in and before your first photo. On the web we ask for your date of birth before your first photo review and keep only whether you passed. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 18, we close it and delete the data behind it.
Your account
Keep your sign-in secure; you are responsible for what happens under your account. One person, one account: accounts created to collect invite rewards or free reviews are abuse.
AI processing
Face reviews, spot checks, follow-up replies, answers to your questions and ingredient-label reading are written by Anthropic’s Claude, which also checks board posts before they appear. Your photos and notes are sent to Anthropic only to produce what you asked for, and Anthropic may not train on them or use them for advertising. We do not sell them and we do not use them for advertising. AI can be wrong; read every result as a suggestion.
Your content
Photos and notes you add remain yours. Submit only photos of yourself, or that you have the right to use. An inspiration photo of someone else is used only to read styling ideas for your own review; never use Beautylogue to review or rate another person.
You keep ownership of what you post in Circle: posts, replies, recommendation notes and your handle. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, show and moderate it within Beautylogue for as long as it is there. We may remove anything that breaks these terms.
Acceptable use
Do not use Beautylogue to harass, evaluate or rank other people, to make decisions about anyone but yourself, to break the law, or to interfere with the service or other people’s use of it.
Product information
Ingredient lists and product details come from manufacturers’ labels, Open Beauty Facts, AI reading of labels people photograph, and the web, and can be wrong or out of date. Check the package before you use a product, especially if you have allergies. No brand pays for placement, ranking or a mention.
Beautylogue+ subscriptions
Beautylogue+ is an auto-renewing subscription sold in the iPhone app through Apple. Founding plan: $44.99 a year for the first 1,000 people who start it (a free month counts), kept for as long as that subscription renews without a break. Then $59.99 a year, or $9.99 a month. Prices are in US dollars; Canada and other regions see Apple’s local price.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm. A subscription renews automatically at the same price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the period; you can manage or cancel it at any time in your iPhone’s Settings, under your name, then Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep Beautylogue+ until the period ends.
The yearly plans may start with one free month, if Apple says your Apple ID is eligible. The free month includes up to three face reviews per account. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, it becomes the yearly plan at the price shown when you started. If notifications are on, we remind you three days before. The monthly plan has no free month.
Your first face review is free with an account: you see part of it, and we hold the rest for 30 days so Beautylogue+ can open it. Free time can also come from invites (a month for every three friends who open your invite and create their own account, up to six months; a week if you joined from a friend’s invite) or from a promo code. Free time is not a purchase, has no cash value, does not renew, and we may withdraw it if it was obtained by abuse, such as fake accounts.
Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple. On the web, where offered, Beautylogue+ is billed by Stripe at the price and trial shown at checkout, and you cancel in You on the web.
Circle and the board
Circle lets friends see each other’s streaks and the products they choose to recommend, and lets members ask and answer questions about products on the board, under a handle.
We have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. On the board, post only about beauty, skincare, haircare and body care products and routines. Do not post about anyone’s appearance, harass or insult anyone, share personal information or contact details, advertise or sell, post sexual content, or tell anyone they have a medical condition. The same rules apply to handles and recommendation notes.
Handles, posts, replies and recommendation notes are checked automatically before they appear. Every post and reply can be reported, and its author blocked from it; anyone can be blocked from your friends list. Either hides them for you at once. A post reported by several people is hidden for everyone while we look, and we review reports within 24 hours, removing content and closing the accounts of people who break these rules. You can remove your own posts at any time.
Suspension and ending
You can stop at any time and delete your account in the app. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. Because Blacktop Social’s apps share one sign-in, a suspension for abuse may also affect that sign-in. Paid time is handled under Apple’s refund rules.
No warranty, and limits on liability
Beautylogue, including every review, answer and suggestion, is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. To the extent the law allows, Blacktop Social LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions made from AI results, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for Beautylogue in the 12 months before it, or $50 if you paid nothing. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law where you live, including in Quebec and the rest of Canada.
Where the law allows, you will cover our reasonable costs if a claim against us arises from content you post or from your breach of these terms.
Governing law
New York law governs these terms, and disputes go to the state or federal courts in New York County, unless the consumer law of your province or state gives you the right to bring them where you live.
Apple
If you got Beautylogue from the App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies, and these terms sit alongside it. Apple is not responsible for Beautylogue or its support, and Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms.
Changes, and the rest
We will tell you in the app before material changes to these terms take effect; if you keep using Beautylogue after that, the new terms apply. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. These terms, with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about Beautylogue.
